The Ambassadors are here for one reason, and one reason only ... that is to lift up, and proclaim that Jesus is Lord. Our hope and prayer is that none should perish, but that ALL should come to know Jesus Christ, the One who forgives all sin. As with our ministry, so it is with our Web site in that we wish to proclaim the wonderful name of Jesus. If you do not know Jesus on a personal level, I want to invite you to read on, consider the evidence, and possibly make a choice that will change your life for eternity.
First of all, God wants you just as you are, blemishes, warts, dirt and all. It is a lie from "the evil one" that says "I must change my life before I can expect God to hear me." All of us must first recognize that we are sinners. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Once we recognize and become aware of our sin, we are then in a position for God to work with us.
After recognizing that we are "sinners," we need to understand that there is the hope of forgiveness in Jesus Christ. Forgiveness of sin can ONLY come through faith in Jesus Christ. All have sinned, but ALL those that receive Jesus Christ are forgiven of their sin, and accepted by God as righteous. Acts 2:21 tells us "Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
When you call on the name of Jesus, you must believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth. Romans 10:9, 10 tell us "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
The plan of salvation is that simple, believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth, and your sin is forgiven, your guilt is taken away, and eternal life is yours. God loves you so much that he sent Jesus Christ His son, to show us the way back to Himself. Now the choice is yours. If you believe in your heart, and want to confess with your mouth but just are unsure what to say, here is a start.
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I need your forgiveness in my life. Take away my guilt, forgive my sin, and make me clean. I believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, died on the cross for my sins, and arose from the grave on the third day, and ascended into heaven where he makes intercession for me. I thank you Lord that you have forgiven me as I have asked. Help me to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of you that I may walk as you would have me too. Amen.
